Looking to sing for their supper at the local tavern? Before they walk into the place they can ask around for the local gossip to set up a Persistent Boost by knowing things that will get the crowd's attention. Take a moment to tap pre-existing conditions for free action Boosts — roll against Drunk Crowd and Popular Song. Add the fact they often have the opportunity to talk and set up an immediate Boost, guiding the various pieces together with an introduction before playing a song, and then adding Maneuvers for both singing and playing, and you end up with a Level 2 minstrel rolling with better than EL10.
