Two of Hearts

Scout's Report

Yes, and - Social

2H (Sniper) - a startling signal with a range-finding echo; a longer view of the big picture; the gift of a revealed admirer

The report is better than hoped: not just where, but when, who, and how often, with detail you didn't know to request. Read it twice; there's more between the lines.

In play: Your lookout comes back with the patrol's route, its timing, and the name of the officer who sets it.

Crossed - Knowing too much; a source exposed; an overly ardent admirer

The intel is too good. Act on it, reveal the source. The knowledge itself needs guarding; the watcher who gathered it needs protection. Use it at your peril and theirs.

In play: Your man in the keep brought copies of the building plans, but no one else could get them. You can use them to get men inside for a raid, but if you don't take the keep, your spy is made and probably dead.

Mira in the Market

The bladesmith flirts as he sells her a blade. He's watched this market for years, and mentions, unasked, which steel holds an edge and who else has been buying swords lately. She leaves with more than she came for.

Crossed - The smith knows who else came asking this week, and says so too freely. She may not notice the hooded man who overhears with a frown, then pushes his way through the crowd to report who else heard it.
