Upright

The truth was spoken and it cut deep. Someone saw something they shouldn't have, and now the knowing has teeth. Things are worse for the revelation, not better.

The truth came up through you and said itself - to the wrong room, at the wrong volume, with the terrible accuracy the unbidden knowing always has. Now it is loose, and it cuts: the named thing cannot be unnamed, the person laid bare cannot be re-covered, and everyone who heard is doing arithmetic. The seeing was not malice. The consequences are indifferent to that.

Inverted

A truth loose in a room finds its real owner. The revelation that seemed to wound you - or your standing, for having spoken it - turns in the air: it was someone else's secret, and their face is confessing what your words only implied. The knowing chose its moment better than you did. Watch who cannot meet whose eyes; that is where the draw goes next.

Upright. The words rise through Renn unbidden at the wedding feast - and the bride's father's dealings are suddenly a thing the whole hall has almost heard said aloud.

Inverted. Almost heard - but it is the steward, not the father, who knocks over his cup standing up, and every guest at the high table marks it.
